Dear D.S.: On multi-game video poker machines, like Bally's Game Maker, I would pick the game with the highest payback and for which I knew the strategy. Every hand you play on the machine is, in effect, dealt from a freshly shuffled deck of cards. Hitting the jackpot in one game has no effect on your chances of hitting the jackpot on another hand in the same game, and it also has no effect on your chances of hitting the jackpot if you switch to another game in the machine. Best of luck in and out of the casinos! Send your slot and video poker questions to John Robison, Slot Expert, at slotexpert@home.com.
