Frank Scoblete's WCC to crown World Champion

13 July 2006

It's never been done before but Frank Scoblete's WCC (World Craps Championships) in Las Vegas will have 10 tournaments spread out over two full days on July 22 and 23 with the 10th tournament crowning the World Craps Champion, who will win The Captain's Trophy in honor of the man who started the modern-day dice control movement in the late 1970s and the man who holds the world record for the most numbers thrown in a casino (www.goldentouchcraps.com/captainrolls147.shtml).

The first nine tournaments are all competitions in various number-making skills. For example, the Hardways Championship will see which of the tournament participants can throw the most hardways; the No Sevens Championship will see which tournament participant can throw the most numbers before a seven shows, and the In the Field Championship will see who can throw the most field numbers.

The World Championship match on Sunday, July 23 will pit the first and second place finishers of the first nine tournaments with 14 players chosen by a drawing. There will be 32 finalists competing to see who is the World Champion.

In addition to the tournaments, the world's greatest dice controllers, including the remarkable Dominator, the great "Rock 'n Roller," the sublime "Mr. Finesse," the spectacular Satch (a member of the Captain's original crew) and the magnificent "Stickman" will also be competing in head-to-head competitions (www.goldentouchcraps.com/worldchampionship.shtml).

States Dominator, "This is going to be the greatest weekend for craps players ever. There's no gambling involved, just competition to see who can throw those numbers. Some of the matches are serious and some are just for fun. We have 'Rock 'n Roller' going against the 'Mystery Guest', who vows to spank him if he loses. When you find out who the Mystery Guest is you will know why this person wants to spank 'Rock 'n Roller.' We expect a huge cheer from the crowd when we reveal who the 'Mystery Guest' is."

But most matches are deadly serious. States Stickman, "I am going up against some pretty good competition and let me tell you I intend to win. I take this very seriously and I plan on being at the top of my game. When you know you are facing the best shooters Golden Touch Craps has you have to be super prepared."

So with 10 tournaments for players and about a dozen matches pitting great dice controllers against each other this promises to be a memorable weekend of dice-throwing fun. On Sunday evening, July 23, there will be a big Awards dinner where every winner will receive his trophy.

"Everyone will be a winner at the WCC," states Frank Scoblete, "because even if you don't win a trophy for a tournament placement, we are giving special gifts to all the people who attend the Awards Dinner. There are no losers at the WCC."
